Wayne obtained both his B.S. and M.S. in Environmental Engineering from University of Central Florida with an emphasis on air quality and noise. Presently, he is a Certified Engineering Intern with the State of Florida and serves as an Environmental Engineer and Air Quality/Noise Specialist at KBE.
Over the past 10 years, Wayne has focused his professional interests on the assessment of transportation-related sources of air emissions and noise. From the collection of field data, the analysis of existing and future-year conditions to the documentation of results, his work has remained at the forefront of these important and expanding fields. He is also heavily involved in the statistical treatment of environmental monitoring data, computer modeling and the assessment of construction emissions.
Examples of Wayne’s recent contributions to air quality include his in-the-field analyses of airport operations; measurements of hydrocarbon (HC) and particulate matter (PM) levels near airport terminal buildings; the collection and evaluation of air monitoring data at over 25 airports across this country and other parts of the world; and assessment of the effects on air quality from grounding aircraft fleets in the U.S. during “9-11” and the reduction of flights in Hong Kong due to the SARS epidemic in China.
