Mike obtained his B.S. in Meteorology from Lyndon State College in Vermont and has been a practicing meteorologist and air quality specialist within the private sector for the past 20 years. Mike presently serves as the Manager of the Seattle Office of KBE.
Mike’s technical expertise includes air monitoring; atmospheric dispersion modeling; assessment of odors, fugitive dust and construction emissions; health risk assessments; and emission factor development. His efforts have been successful in helping to meet federal requirements under the Clean Air Act (CAA), the National Environmental Policy act (NEPA) and various state requirements such as the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Mike also has strong computer programming and data management skills which he has used extensively for the analyses of air quality monitoring and meteorological data for airports, marine ports, roadways, mining activities and a host of other similar technical applications. He is well versed in a wide array of air emission models including, MOBILE6.2/EMFAC2007, NONROAD/OFFROAD, SPECIATE, and AP-42; and dispersion models such as AERMOD, ISC3, EDMS, HARP, CAL3QHC and many others.
